Safety On Campus
The UBC Safewalk program is available for patrons who wish to be accompanied to and from The Chan at night. Staffed by student volunteers, a coed two-person team will walk with you to any location on the UBC campus . To book a walk, please call 604.822.5355 or email safewalk[at]ams.ubc.ca
UBC Parking and Access Control Services offer a complimentary on campus shuttle service during the academic year (September – April) with assigned stops near the Chan Centre and the UBC Bus Loops. Call 604.822.6786 or email parking[at]interchange.ubc.ca for more information.
Disabled Access
The Chan Centre is fully accessible to people with disabilities. When approaching the Chan Centre entrance from the top of the stairwell please note that there is an elevator located near the flag pole plaza; south-west of the main doors to The Chan. Infrared Hearing System headsets are also available free of charge for the hearing impaired.
