14th Annual Spring Gala

Every spring, UBC medical and dental students put on a showcase displaying their incredible talents outside of academia in the elegant setting of the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at UBC.
In the past, this special evening has been filled with memorable performances ranging from classical music and opera to elegant ballet and funky hip-hop routines, to poignant poetry readings, tae-kwon do and comedic acts.
Showcased again this year will be the ever popular Medical School Choir, String Orchestra, Black and Blues Jazz Band, and many more incredible and unique acts including Korean Percussion, Martial Arts, and Ballroom Dance.
All funds raised through ticket, DVD, and 50/50 draw sales go towards a local charity. This year, the Gala will be in support of Let Kids Play, a charity that strives to improve the health, enhance the education, and develop the skills of low-income and underprivileged youth by providing funds to enable them to participate in organized sporting activities.
