This special gala marks the 50th Anniversary of the Vancouver Cantata Singers with a choral celebration that features the choir in performance with the CBC Radio Orchestra.
The programme will feature a new commission from Cameron Wilson, the VCS’ Best of Bach, and much more! The evening will also honour VCS alumni – music directors and choir members.
Over the last 50 seasons, the Vancouver Cantata Singers has built a strong reputation for choral excellence.
Known especially for performing music of the Baroque, the choir also commissions new works from critically acclaimed regional and international composers, ensuring the presentation of a rich variety of sought after works from the romantic and contemporary repertoire.
The Vancouver Cantata Singers' refreshing and innovative approach to music has propelled the group into the ranks of Canada's foremost choral ensembles, resulting in a steady stream of critical accolades.
