The Challenges of Parenting and Teaching Today’s Children
“Dr. Neufeld’s approach has the power to change, if not save, the lives of our children...” National Post
Society has changed. So too have the challenges of parenting and teaching. We all want our children to realize their full potential. We all want our children to become caring and sensitive individuals.
Yet achieving these outcomes seems to be getting harder in today’s world. How do we provide the conditions children need to truly grow up? How do we shield our children against the rising tide of aggression and bullying? How do we protect our children from wounding interaction, yet cultivate the resilience they need to face their world?
Dr. Gordon Neufeld, Vancouver’s own world-renowned psychologist and best-selling author, will address these issues and point to a way through. His approach is refreshing and his insights make sense, not only of today’s society but also of the children and youth in our care.
All proceeds go to Growth Concerns, a registered non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to applying developmental science to parenting and working with children.
