Young Masters' Project

Co-presented by the Vancouver Recital Society and the Chan Centre
Hear the next generation of homegrown musical treasures.
Is it the fresh coastal air? The climate? Whatever the reason, our city and region produce an astounding array of extraordinarily talented young musicians.
When we introduced Jon Kimura Parker to you in the early 1980s, we said that he was “just the tip of the iceberg.” Happily, global warming hasn’t affected this iceberg – in fact, it’s grown.
Come hear the next generation as we delightedly continue our Young Masters’ Project with a concert featuring our very own homegrown musical treasures. Introducing some of the cream of the crop is a Burnaby musician making waves internationally, Project Host pianist Ian Parker.
This is a free concert. Subscribers may pre-book their tickets when they subscribe (limit of 6). Remaining tickets will be available at the Chan Centre box office the day of the show.
