The Chan Centre for Performing Arts

The UBC Symphonic Wind Ensemble is dedicated to performing the finest and most challenging wind repertoire, presenting four concerts on campus each year.

Directed by Martin Berinbaum, the ensemble is comprised of music and other university students who are accepted by audition.

The group also hosts an annual band festival, attracting talented high school students from all over British Columbia. Players participate in UBC convocation ceremonies and regularly tour the province.

The Concert Winds is a wind ensemble open to music and non-music
majors. Performances take place four times per year. Repertoire is drawn from the standard literature for wind
bands.
